NewsFlash: Diecast Vehicle Voltron in the Works by Miracle Productions UPDATE!

Need a vehicle Voltron to accompany your lion Masterpiece Voltron? Well someone is aiming to make that a reality. Voltron I aka Vehicle Voltron aka Dairugger XV will stand at 13 inches tall, have 60% metal content, and can break down into all 15 vehicles and even merge in to the land/sea/air teams. He'll have lots of articulation and several weapons to pose with. With nearly two years of development, he's in the final stages and is slated for a Spring 2012 release.

UPDATE 11/22/2011 - The word is Most Wanted, the company that released a slew of Gaiking: Legend of Daiku-Maryu toys a couple years ago, are the team responsible for this piece of awesome.

UPDATE 02/21/2012 - Voltron I will be released April 30 under the company name Miracle Productions, which is essentially Most Wanted. And Voltron will be the name on the package, not Dairugger XV due to licensing issues. Also, preorders will receive a diecast metal Blazing Sword! Check out the source links.

  1. Looks great (first time viewing), but one of the things most desired about the deluxe popy version for me was the removable antennae for sea team #9 & 10. Is it to late to add this feature? Also a more detailed antennae for Cric #6 (Miranda Kitsu)?

  2. I guess we'll have to see if they add the removable antennae and more detail in the final product. I'd like to see the head get a little bigger and a thicker neck.

  3. Where did you guys get these photos?

Just curious, I've seen these photos a few times now, but no one ever gives a source. Be nice if we could trace them back to some company and get some information that feels more solid than a rumor.

I'd like to see full-color photos of actual product -- the combined robot, the five-ship superships and the fifteen individual ships. Those plus a video preview just might convince me to purchase.

  5. I've been waiting for this for years. I'm surprised Toynami didn't do this one too. It looks great except for the small head and weak neck.

This mold definitely needs a larger head and stronger neck. Then I think it would be perfect. But if it's due to be released at the end of next month then I bet it's already in production as is.

    1. I think the last I saw, it was $220. But, all preorders in the US have been taken down due to a licensing issue. If you didn't get a preorder in a Toy Freakz before they took it down, you'll have to find an international seller. But it is still being released!

  8. I own two of the original toys from the 80s. Both in mint condition. I believe I even have one of the boxes.

  9. Check the battery and replace if necessary. Make sure the connection is clean, tight and corrosion-free. Your battery has important functions such as storing energy, providing power to the starter motor, ignition system, fuel system, and other electrical devices during engine starting. automoves
